May I replace raid controller or the PC or the operating system without damage the data on hd?
I want to buy a raid controller and build a raid 5 system. I will connect this controller to an external multiplier sata enclosure.
My question is:
1. In the future, may I replace or upgrade this raid controller without damage the data on hd.
2. In the future, may I plug this raid controller to a new computer without damage the data on hd.
3. In the future, may I change the operating system(eg. xp to vista; or even windows to linux) without damage the data on hd, I don’t install the operating system on those raid hard disks, I only use it to backup my data.
Thanks so much for your answer!
I care enough to take the time to put everything on CD-R and store it with your software.
